Weird signal on StripX of T6... might be the copper oxyde projections making a short-circuit
EDIT 27/03/18 : The problem seen on Telescope 6 might be due to either some Asics Problem, or due to some dirt, the current reason in not known currently. The safest way would be to remove the telescope completely and replace it for Daisuke's and Olivier's experiments. |

e744 : Valerian | MUST2 | Hardware | 3-alpha | Choosing the DSSSDs |
We can see that the DSSSDs on T1(CsI) T3(CsI) T4(CsI) and T5(SiLi) are in good shape (cf :Bidim for T1 T3 T4 T5 T6 T7 T8 ).
As for now, we would like to keep the telescope as is. M2C should be moved tomorrow (28/03/18).
After that we would like to use the two spare DSSSDs available on both T2 and on the O degree telescope (now called T5(CsI)).
If the spare DSSSDs are judged not be good enough for the experiment, we will swap current T5(SiLi) DSSDs on the 0 degree Telescope T5(CsI). |

Looking at the previous Calimero tests Adrien did during his experiment, neither telescope are good as is... the T7 has no time calibration and T6 might have some Asics problem...
We can either use T6 and check if the problem we saw on it's DSSDs are due to some electronics problem or use a completly different telescope from the spare we have...
EDIT 29/03/18 : After discussion with Laurent the option to use a new DSSD on T6 seems more appropriate, still ongoing. |

For the next day, the plan is to check the DSSD's connections of T6 & T7 followed by an alpha run, if the problem seen on T6 are not resolved, we will change the DSSD of T6 and re-do another alpha run, the last option would be to change the Muffee card.
Just for a quick visual update, telescopes 5&8 are dismounted and a new DSSD is mounted on T2 as you can see ! |

e744 : Valérian | MUST2 | Hardware | | Cabling of T6 & T7 |
After checking the cable of T6 & T7 it seems that there were in fact an inversion during experiment e748. T6 is the bottom one, and T7 the top one.
During e748, it seems that there were some difference regarding the position, between the hardware and software position...
If it was the case, it would mean that it is T6 that has the time calibration problem, not T7.
re-
In conclusion, it is T6 that has both the time calibration problem on X and Y, and the weird signal seen during the calibration.
EDIT 4/04/18 : For the experiment e748 and before the time calibration, the inversion had been made, as a conclusion what was previously stated is wrong, it is T7 that has no time calibration... Anyhow, wee will re-do the time calibration for T6 and T7 to check if the problem are still present. |
