After discussing about using the HF, I join as a reference what was obtained during experiment e744 of last year. We can see that using an external TAC the time resolution is much worse using HF.

I also join as a reference the same timing using MUVI.

Edit: Added simulation with 3 different time resolution.

  • Simulated : CATS (500ps resolution)

Currently, CATS2 is inserted, if the window :

CATS2 has tripped appear, one should do the following :

  • Open a terminal
  • Type: HV
  • Username is : admin
  • Password is : admin
  • Press enter twice

The list of channels is going to appear.

  • Using the arrow of the keyboard, go down until you reach cats2
  • then go right until you reach Off
  • press space, the dectector should start ramping up
  • If it trips again, you can try to put voltage to cats1 (right above cats2)

Two possibility :

  • If cats1 trip it is the gas bottle that is empty call : 07 83 34 30 81 (Sebastien)
  • If cats1 doesn't trip try cats2 again, and if it trips lower the voltage of cats2

To lower the voltage of cats2 : go to the left until you reach the first cell after cats2 name and lower the voltage 10 volts and try to start cats2 again.

THEN CLOSE THE TERMINAL

At the beginning of a run :

  • Do screenshots of the scalers and add them to the elog.(Say it is at the beginning of the run)

During a run, one should :

  • Check regularly the scalers.
  • Look at the different pages on vigru.
  • Check if there are any problem concerning the Voltages, a window should be prompted to you if it is the case. If the window has FP written it is on the VAMOS side.
  • Do conversion, see corresponding entry (Or paper next to computer)
  • Check the last pending issues in the elog and if they are fixed, edit them to fix (any HV trip or over-current are pending and shoudl be switch to fix).

Every hours and before stopping the run:

  • Do screenshots of the scalers and add them to the elog.(Say at which time it is done)
  • Do screenshots of all the vigru pages of MUGAST and VAMOS and add them to the elog.

While doing the electronic scheme, I saw that the Inspection line was inducing a bad signal in the coincidence module between fag and CATS1. See joined image.

Also, I broke a cable between CATS1 Fifo and the delay box, the delay is now 2 ns longer.
