During E744 experiment, two CsI crystals (number 1 & 10) of MM2 had no data as attached.
When the M2C chamber was opened today, I found at least connection for CsI number 1 of MM2 has a problem.
It takes some time to fix the connection for CsI, so it may be going to be fixed after some hardware problems are found in this week.
Fixede755 Thu Jun 7 09:46:47 2018 LouisMUST2Hardware3-alphaMUST2 test
The 8 MUST2 telescopes have been installed and pluged in final configuration. Energy signal have been tested with 2 3-alphas sources, one in front of T5-T6 and one in front of the others.
Energy signal for all telescopes looks ok exept for telescopes 5. Concidering their position with respect to the source T5 and T6 should have the same count. In fact, T5X see signal at the good energy but with two times less count than T6X. T5Y see 10 times less count than T6Y.
One can also see some noise on the middle part of T8X

MUST2 time have been tested for T1 to T8 for X and Y. FAG has been delayed with 150ns and 500ns and sent as stop in MUVI 1 and 2. One can see two pics in all spectrum. All scales of TAC have been setted to 600ns.

run 1: 4 alpha source, without heat shield, 1 bar air inside the target cell.

Data has been taken with a 4 alpha source: 3 alpha around 5Mev plus one around 8.7MeV
On telescope 7 and 8, one can see the four alpha which are not intercepted by the heat shield. Telescope 1 to 4 see only one alpha around 2.5Mev on the border of the strips. T5 and T6 see the alpha at 2.5Mev in the center of stripX.

Fixede755 Thu Jun 14 19:03:06 2018 shumpeiOFFLINEHardwareN/A8MeV alpha source T5&T6
8MeV alpha source image on the target was reconstructed from T5&T6 hit position and target position information.
The target is something like 2 cm diameter collimator.
Now the center of the image is a little bit close to T6(bottom) maybe because the center of the target is placed to bottom side at room temperature since the target length will be shorten when it is cooled down.
Ongoinge755 Sun Jun 17 11:12:57 2018 takeshiTARGETHardwareN/Acurrent cooling status of the cryogenic target
This is the temperature log of the cryogenic hydrogen target during the cooling test done last night.
The temperature of the heat shield (green line) and the cell (blue line) increased while it went the minimum values at once.

We could not try liquefying test this morning because the temperature was not enough low.
I would attach the boiling points of several gases in a vacuum. We suspect the rebound of the temperature is due to adsorption of vapour such as N2 at 20 K and H20 at 150 K.
Fixede755 Sun Jun 17 11:25:31 2018 takeshiTARGETHardwareN/Acurrent cooling status of the cryogenic target
This is the temperature log (temperaturelog.png) of the cryogenic hydrogen target during the cooling test done last night.
The temperature of the heat shield (green line) and the cell (blue line) increased while it went the minimum values at once.
In addition to the overall behaviour, a narrow peak was found (peak, png) in the cell temperature which anti-correlate to that of the heat shield. We consider this is due to the contact between the cell and the heat
shield.

We could not try liquefying test this morning since the temperature was not enough low.

I would attach the boiling points of several gases in a vacuum (boilingpoinnt.png). We suspect the rebound of the temperature is due to adsorption of vapour such as N2 at 20 K and H20 at 150 K.
