The beam is fluctuating between 18 kHz and 22 kHz in VAMOS (24 to 27 kHz in CATS1)
Division on CATS1 trigger is 1000
Division on VAMOS trigger is 1000 in the GMT.


The target is stable with 6.00 K temperature, P=700mbar
We fill 4He every 5 to 5:30 hours and we use more or less 5.5 cm (i.e. 35l) for each filling.
The next bottle change is foreseen on wednesday morning.

We had 2 crashes of the target acquisition this afternoon. We think that it is due to the temperature. We added a fan and we slow down the reading of the temperature to every 12s (instead of 10s).

As attachment are some gamma spectra we obtained while trying several conditions on the run 056.

*Beam excitation has been investigated by gating on PID in VAMOS. Both 46Ar and 47K were selected. Excitation of 46Ar appears clearly while no clear conclusions could be drawn for the 47K.

*46Ar(3He,d)47K was investigated gating 47K in VAMOS and requiring an event in MUGAST (no specific gate could be performed on deuteron). Data size is very small but the maximum of the distribution is very close to the energy of the expected gamma ray from 47K.

*Fusion-evaporation of beam tqrget materials were investigated by requiring proton PID in MUST2. Due to the large number of possible fragments is not not possible to clearly identify the nature of the first to observed gamma ray. Yet the highest energy might correspond to a known gamma transitions in 87Zr in the case of fusion-evaporation with HAVAR window

The "sourcier" on-call arrived at 8h15. By talking to people in shift at the PCP they told me that more will be known ~10am-11am. Beam is expected to be back around 12am.

To convert a run including the AGATA data, here is the procedure (Only if you know reasonably what you are doing Wink

1- Go to the AGATA Analysis computer, open a terminal and execute the following commands:

> a4
> t e786s
> cd Replay
> ./do_global_replay.sh -run ## (## is the run number you want to convert)

2- When it is finished copy the root file to the GANIL world:

> mkdir /dataganil/e786s/acquisition/root_agata/run_00##/
> cp ./run_00##/Out/Analysis/Tree_00*.root /dataganil/e786s/acquisition/root_agata/run_00##/.
