Marlène | GRIT | General | | Alpha source --> status of detectors |
MG3T has been fixed by changing the X kapton.
I have removed aluminium foil on square detectors, the noise is slightly higher.
MG4T is not working properly : noisy on X but no signal on Y !! I see no triggers on the Y side. I tried to increase bias but it did increase noise. I checked in the last calibration of e744 it was working properly. Also I had to do pedestal realignement for this detector because everything was shifted.
MG7T seem to be slightly different than before. Strips X are hidden from the trigger because it became suddenly noisy. |

Marlène | GRIT | General | | MUGAST detectors status --> MG4T |
The problem of MG4T ha sbeen solved by changing the feedthrough.
The pulser on Y was not working and we were seeing no events (no ORD) because there was a problem with the bias of board. The issue is due to the feedthrough.
So now MG4T (HT &BT) are plugged in a free feedthrough (below MG1T) and I see pulser signals on Y.
The bias seems to apply normally on all detectors (in the dark).
The pulser is seen on each boards.
I have put back aluminium foil on square but I could not test it. |

Freddy, Franco and Louis | OTHER | Hardware | | Temperature error on +2.5v/t3 |
There is a temperature error on the +2.5 V for MUST2 Telescope. It created error message due to hv_monitor but it does not shutdown the voltage.
We modified the code in hv_monitor to not display popup message and elog message if this channel is concerned. |

Marlène & Franco | OTHER | Hardware | | Some changes in the electronic scheme |
- We checked the TACs with a time calibrator, all of them are working. Maybe to check the ADCs if some timings are not there during the exp.
- We set the possibility to have MUST2 divided by 100 (on a separate chain) in case of high rate on GMT channel number 7.
- We are now taking as input of the HF the clean HF validated by VAMOS instead of cleaning it on our side through the coincidence with FAG. This is sent to make the STOP of all TACs and MUVIs.
- We sent the OR of MUST2-MUGAST-SQUARES in an additional FIFO with cables of the same length (10 ns) and the output sent to VAMOS and to the TAC called Si-CATS in the acquisition. |

mugast (Sylvain, Chloe, François, Marlène, Nicolas) | OTHER | General | | Monitoring of beam profile with BAF2 |
In order to provide a efficient way for PCP to monitor beam profile a new TAC measurement has set up.
A BAF2 detector has been inserted close to the reaction chamber (in position 7 of AGATA structure frame). Operating voltage of BaF2 is 1800V and the typical signal amplitude is above 100 mV.
The output signal is sent to a TFA (with gain =1). No additional delay was used. The BAF2 trigger signal is made from CFD and used as a start a TAC. TAC range was chosen to 1us.
The trigger signal was also sent to GMT trough input nb 5.
