The 8 MUST2 telescopes have been installed and pluged in final configuration. Energy signal have been tested with 2 3-alphas sources, one in front of T5-T6 and one in front of the others.
Energy signal for all telescopes looks ok exept for telescopes 5. Concidering their position with respect to the source T5 and T6 should have the same count. In fact, T5X see signal at the good energy but with two times less count than T6X. T5Y see 10 times less count than T6Y.
One can also see some noise on the middle part of T8X |

Louis | OFFLINE | General | Cryo-LH2 | Analysis of run 63 to 89 in 40Ca(p,t)38ca reaction |
Here are some plot summarizing the analysis status on the 40Ca(p,t)38Ca channel.
Run concerned: 63-89
Running time: 18 hours
Gates applied:
- Target Impact (from CATS)
- Triton in dE-E
- Incoming 40Ca, TCATS2_HF in [1600;24000]
Plots:
- Cut applied
- Kinematics, Exitation energy and llaboratory angle for two possible pics
- Exitation energy per telescope for T1 to T4
Remarks:- There is no clear signal of ground state or any exited states
- One can mybe distinguish pics correspond to different states but badly separated
- During this beam time, Ionization Chamber was not working. Analysis of the 38Ca(p,t)36Ca reaction without this cut provide exactly the same shape of background. This background is probably due to fragmentation of the 40Ca beam in HAVAR foil, producing tritons undistinguishable from reaction tritond without cut on outgoing heavy ion.
Other runs in 40Ca with the CHIO are probably needed to make good Ex reconstruction and tritons calibrations

Here are some plot summarizing the analysis status on the 36Ar(p,t)34Ar channel.
Run concerned: 128-156
Running time: 31 hours
Gates applied:
- Target Impact (from CATS)
- Triton in dE-E
- Incoming 36Ar, TCATS2_HF in [1600;24000]
- Outgoin Z=18, delta_E E
Plots:
- Kinematics, Exitation energy
- Exitation energy per telescope for T1 to T4, with fit for two pics
Remarks:- We are able to distinguish two different states coressponding two known 0+ and 2+ states
- By looking excitation energy telescope by telescope, we can see a shift between T1,2 and T3,4. Again, left right misalignement of MUST2 is highlight
Runs in 26Ar will be helpfull for E tritons calibrations in CsI

Louis | OFFLINE | General | Cryo-LH2 | Offline analysis of 37Ca(p,d)36Ca reaction |
Here are some plot summarizing the analysis status on the 37Ca(p,d)36Ca channel. Plots shows performance of the setup in optimal conditions and preli;inary results.
Run concerned: 192-194
Running time: 6 hours
Gates applied:
- Target Impact (from CATS)
- deuton in dE-E
- Incoming 37Ca, TCATS1_HF in [2800;3800]
- Outgoing Z=20 and Z=19
Plots:
- Ion identification in dE-TOF and dE-E
- Light particle identification in dE-E
- Kinematics, Exitation energy and laboratory angle for Gate on Z=20 and Z=19 outgoing nuclei
- Previous results for 38Ca(p,t)36Ca analysis
Remarks:- Particle identification seems OK for light and heavy particles. We are able to reproduce wath we get during 38Ca beam. All component are well separeted
- On the Z=20 gated spectra, one can distinguish two state. Excited state looks like to be at the same position (around 3MeV) than the one found in 38Ca(p,t)36Ca reaction.
- On the Z=19 gated spectra, one can see state. Looks like to be at the same position (around 6MeV) than the one found in 38Ca(p,t)36Ca reaction with the same gate.
Results looks consistent with previous observations. Let's see wath will grown with more data! |

Update of offline Analysis of the 37Ca(p,d)36Ca reaction:
Run 192 to 207
Total time: 43h
same analysis for gate Z=20, Z=19 and Z=18 have been made.
In the first exited state at 5.5MeV of Z20 spectra we got 1557 counts ==> 36/h
in pic of Z19 spectra we got : 121 counts at 5.5MeV ==> 2.8/h
458 counts at 9.8MeV ==> 10.5/h
for the first excited state at 5.5MeV we got gamma to proton ratio of 7.7%
One can maybe distinguish resonnace in the Z18 spectra |
