1) Some angular distribution were extracted (without any efficiency corrections) with gate on Ex btw 0 and 2 MeV (where p orbitals are populated) and btw 2 and 4 MeV (where f orbitals are populated). More counts are observed btw 110 and 120 degrees in Lab angle with the 0-2MeV gate compared to the 2-4MeV gate which is expected from the AWBA calculus. Kinematic cuts the large angles at high excitation energies. Geometrical efficiency is needed to compare this angular range. Looks like we well distinguish L=1 and L=3 transfers.
2) Some gamma spectra obtained with Ex gate btw -1 and 1, 1 and 3, 3 and 5 MeV.
3) Some strange horizontal lines are observed in the E-TOF id in MUST2. The spectra was obtained with gate on the promt signal in vamos so it can not be the beam intercepting directly must2...

While doing the electronic scheme, I saw that the Inspection line was inducing a bad signal in the coincidence module between fag and CATS1. See joined image.
Also, I broke a cable between CATS1 Fifo and the delay box, the delay is now 2 ns longer. |

06:55 Vamos rate at 1400 pps but diamond is decreasing since several hours: we had 17500 counts at midnight and now only 7500.
Checked beam rate on profiler and found 1.8e7 so indeed it is the diamond efficiency that is going down steeply |

Franco | OFFLINE | General | CD2 | Mugast detectors disaligned in Ex |
The Ex distributions gated on the different MG detectors show large differences, up to 500 keV. In the attached figure I show as an example the comparison between two nearby detectors, MG3 and MG4.
I tried a rough alignment of the Ex by shifting it manually and setting the first main peak at Ex=0 (essentially taking MG5 as the reference, since his first peak is at 0).
These are the shifts applied:
MG1 -> -580 keV
MG2 -> -280 keV
MG3 -> -550 keV
MG4 -> -100 keV
MG5 -> 0 keV
MG7 -> -400 keV
The resulting Ex distribution is plotted in the second attachment, compared with the original below. The resolution of the first peak (assuming there's a single level there) is 420 keV FWHM.
I think it would be worth having the position of the MUGAST detectors re-measured. |

Marlène & Franco | GRIT | Hardware | N/A | Moving MG9 square to MUVI2 |
- Since we are not using MG6 anymore (card burnt), we replaced it with MG9 on slot 3 of MUVI2. MUVI4 is now unused. We changed the actions parameters accordingly.
- We cannot run the time calibration for MG9 because the pulser does not go through neither on X nor on Y. |
