MG1 has some issue with the HT cable (for the BT bias). There is a shortcut only under vacuum. We checked the connector but we have to do vacuum again to check it. |

Marlène | GRIT | General | N/A | Square detectors |
MG9C (thin square detector coupled with thick square detector unplugged) noisy
On X channels --> no noise problem ( about 100 ORD in the dark)
On Y channels --> MATE 10 & 11 noisy ! (see picture below with noisy Y piedestals)
With internal pulser (trigered by CK_TST) the counting rate is OK only if the thresholds are set at 1 MeV. If they are set at 500 keV, the counting rate is 10 times higher than the CK_TST
For MG10C, ORD is OK ! |

23/01/19
Change of the HT/BT cable of MG1T (the one that had a short cut before when the chamber was closed)
MG9C is now the square detector nb 4 (Micron number) and coupled with the thick detector --> this detector was working properly
MG10C is detector nb 3 (Micron number) --> this detector was noisy before |

test of channels (mate) masking : OK with DAS, OK with GECCO (see attachment) when done in the "disable channels" of GECCO
With calimero, when we are on Y, when we click right to mask a mate we see 'disable mate 2' instead of 'disable mate 10' !!! |

- 2 TACS are not working:
- T_Si_CATS1 (stop should be CATS n FAG --> to be checked)
- T_Si_VAMOS (seen now in T_CATS1_CATS2) --> check the signals (if CATS is the START we should use CATS n FAG, if it is the stop it should be delayed by 800 ns , the delay is prepared)

1) T_VAMOS-CATS1
it was not connected. We added 500 ns delay in CATS1
2) T_CATS1_HF
range changed from 2µs to 200 ns |
T_VAMOS-CATS1 is now connected in T_CATS1_CATS2 as posted this night. We have tried to add 500ns more delay (800ns in total) to CATS and it did not work, so we suspected the TAC or ADC. This is why we inverted T_VAMOS-CATS1 with T_CATS1_CATS2. For this TAC, CATS is the START (and is not delayed by 500ns). |

The charges are lower in RUN77 because bias was reduced to 580V.

Marlène | GRIT | General | | Alpha source --> status of detectors |
MG3T has been fixed by changing the X kapton.
I have removed aluminium foil on square detectors, the noise is slightly higher.
MG4T is not working properly : noisy on X but no signal on Y !! I see no triggers on the Y side. I tried to increase bias but it did increase noise. I checked in the last calibration of e744 it was working properly. Also I had to do pedestal realignement for this detector because everything was shifted.
MG7T seem to be slightly different than before. Strips X are hidden from the trigger because it became suddenly noisy. |

Marlène | GRIT | General | | MUGAST detectors status --> MG4T |
The problem of MG4T ha sbeen solved by changing the feedthrough.
The pulser on Y was not working and we were seeing no events (no ORD) because there was a problem with the bias of board. The issue is due to the feedthrough.
So now MG4T (HT &BT) are plugged in a free feedthrough (below MG1T) and I see pulser signals on Y.
The bias seems to apply normally on all detectors (in the dark).
The pulser is seen on each boards.
I have put back aluminium foil on square but I could not test it. |
