Fixede755 Thu Jun 21 08:30:48 2018 shumpei, daisukeRUNGeneral3-alphaRUN0040 8 MeV source run with liquid hydrogen
RUN 0040. started 7:23 am

8 MeV source was set upstream at 0 degrees to confirm that the target is filled with liquid. The target has been cooled since 4 pm yesterday. From the record of temperatures and pressure, it is likely that hydrogen stays in the liquid phase. It has yet to be confirmed if hydrogen inside the cell is still in liquid or partially evaporated.

target cell 18.180 K
heat shield 114.62 K
H2 gas -0.23 atm
M2C 3.09e-6 mbar

There are events in T5 and T6, but without any clusters formed at an energy of 250 ADC channels (expected energy for alpha particles that traverse hydrogen gas). Need more analysis to conclude.

Fixede744 Fri May 25 17:42:21 2018 shumpeiMUST2SoftwareN/ACsI energy calibration for MUST2 telescopes
Calibration parameter for MUST2 CsI crystals are calculated with run1001-1006.
Attached are dE(DSSD)-E(CsI) plot of all the telescopes and parameters.
The parameter files are in
/home/e748/analysis/nptool/Projects/e744/Calibration/Energy/Calibration/CsI_rough

How to make the parameters;
For dE-E plot, the strongest locus should be proton.
Approximation formula for proton dE (Si 300 micrometer)-E (residual) I used is
(CsI_Energy) = -6.81774+41.1823/(Si_Energy-0.0814779).

Absolute value for the total energy may have some offset, but the gain of all the crystals should be roughly matched.
Maybe we need one more common parameter to adjust absolute value.

T2 Crystal #1 and #10 have no data. As I remember, this is the same as E748 exp. last year.
Crystals #9 for all the telescopes have low statistics. I'm afraid the mapping of crystal #9 is not correct.
->nptool/NPLib/Detectors/MUST2/TMust2Physics.cxx m_CsI_MatchingY[8]=48 but should be equal to 16 (corrected and re-compiled 27/05/2018).

During E744 experiment, two CsI crystals (number 1 & 10) of MM2 had no data as attached.
When the M2C chamber was opened today, I found at least connection for CsI number 1 of MM2 has a problem.
It takes some time to fix the connection for CsI, so it may be going to be fixed after some hardware problems are found in this week.

8MeV alpha source image on the target was reconstructed from T5&T6 hit position and target position information.
The target is something like 2 cm diameter collimator.
Now the center of the image is a little bit close to T6(bottom) maybe because the center of the target is placed to bottom side at room temperature since the target length will be shorten when it is cooled down.
