Fixede755 Sat Jun 30 23:47:45 2018 takeshi, daisuke, didierBEAMGeneralCryo-LH2result of Wien filter tuning
Here is the summary of the tuning of the Wien filter.
We tried to tune the correction magnet of the wien filter to change the Y position of the beam, especially for 37Ca, which seemed to be at slightly higher position.
The peak position was shifted lower and lower and the purity of 37Ca was increased as changing the magnetic field of the wien filter with decreasing total beam rate.
The rate of 37Ca was actually not changed by the tuning of the wien filter and 36K was decreased by this tuning, although the rate of 35Ar, which are not interest nuclide for us, was decreased significantly.
The dead time of DAQ is not so serious in current setting, so we decided to continue the measurement without changing the wien filter.

Ongoinge755 Sun Jun 17 11:12:57 2018 takeshiTARGETHardwareN/Acurrent cooling status of the cryogenic target
This is the temperature log of the cryogenic hydrogen target during the cooling test done last night.
The temperature of the heat shield (green line) and the cell (blue line) increased while it went the minimum values at once.

We could not try liquefying test this morning because the temperature was not enough low.
I would attach the boiling points of several gases in a vacuum. We suspect the rebound of the temperature is due to adsorption of vapour such as N2 at 20 K and H20 at 150 K.
Fixede755 Sun Jun 17 11:25:31 2018 takeshiTARGETHardwareN/Acurrent cooling status of the cryogenic target
This is the temperature log (temperaturelog.png) of the cryogenic hydrogen target during the cooling test done last night.
The temperature of the heat shield (green line) and the cell (blue line) increased while it went the minimum values at once.
In addition to the overall behaviour, a narrow peak was found (peak, png) in the cell temperature which anti-correlate to that of the heat shield. We consider this is due to the contact between the cell and the heat
shield.

We could not try liquefying test this morning since the temperature was not enough low.

I would attach the boiling points of several gases in a vacuum (boilingpoinnt.png). We suspect the rebound of the temperature is due to adsorption of vapour such as N2 at 20 K and H20 at 150 K.

We suspect the impurity of the vacuum causes the rebound behavior of the target temperature.
Here is the data of the vacuum level v.s. the target temperature as it increasing.
As Daisuke explained at the meeting, we are monitoring two point as temperature reference, the cell (A) and the heat shield (E).
The detail discussion is still ongoing.

We started cooling the target at 2:21 last night.
The attached file is the temperature graph. The black lines are the today and the other colors are for reference. The thicker line is the heat shield and the thiner line is the cell. Note the time offset is adjusted by about 1 hours, to match the blue reference line (Wednesday data).
