The first plot attached has been done by artificially removing 7 deg in theta lab, just to see if the the kinematic lines of 47K(d,d) and 47K(p,p) can be reproduced. Of course the energy losses are not optimized in this case but anyway the agreement seems nice.
In the second plot I moved MM5 forward (in z) by 17.5 mm, without any re-orientation in x and y. We should compare this position with the one measured by the surveyors.
It looks like we have plenty of protons in the target but actually the Rutherford cross section at 80 deg for (p,p) is 4 times higher than the (d,d) one. From a quick estimation the ratio 2H:1H in the target should be around 3:1 (to be checked!). |
