Tests to understand the broad width (120 mm!!!) of the beam size at the FP of VAMOS |

Test 1: 14O beam on CH2 target (number 2= 105 um) and CATS2 inside:
The beam size in the FP of VAMOS was found of about: 150 mm !!!
Test 2: 14O beam on target with hole (Diameter of the hole=7mm) and CATS2 out
The beam size in the FP of VAMOS was found of about: 3 mm (to be checked with the run 112)
Test3: 14O beam on target with hole (Diameter of the hole=7mm) and CATS2 in
The beam size in the FP of VAMOS was found of about: 20 mm (to be checked with the run 113)
Test4: 14O beam on empty target and CATS2 inside
The beam size in the FP of VAMOS was found of about: 30 mm (to be checked with the run 114)
==> The problem of huge broadening of the beam size in test 1 was not due to straggling in CATS2
Test 5: 14O beam on CH2 target (number 3= 90 um, the same target that was used with 14N beam) and CATS2 inside:
The beam size in the FP of VAMOS was found of about: ~ 30 mm (to be checked with the run 115)
